Perez Running Team: Meet the Runners/ Upcoming Races

Alan Perez (Santiago, DR)

Alan and Jackie are both passionate followers of Christ committed to sharing Him with those in need. Together they help facilitate and coordinate nearly 50 short-term teams yearly. Alan shares the Gospel through basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball. He also translates for short-term teams in medical and dental clinics and our on-going pastor training seminars. Jackie is the Director of Short-term teams, overseeing the coordination of trips, and serves as a spiritual encourager for our team leaders.

He allows me to run and it has given me not only a healthier lifestyle, but great chances to share the Good News along the way. Running is a great sport because it doesn’t take much talent. You just put one foot in front of the other. I can handle that. :) When I am training, I get to observe God’s creation in the outdoors and have time to take advantage of one-on-one time with my Holy Father.
